I have been training with Iain for a couple of years now. He is very patient and sympathetic to each dog’s capabilities. My two have very different ways of working and Iain understands this. He is also very kind to the ‘older’ handler who often forgets where they are going!
I cannot recommend Barkzone Agility highly enough. Iain Has a great ability for communication and understanding of handler and dog. 1:1, groups and camps are always great fun, with lots of laughter but extremely educational, well planned and always tailored to you and your dog’s needs. I’m a late starter to agility & it’s his help & excellent consistent training methods managed to get my first agility dog at Crufts when helping me out following a knee injury. From Puppy training to the older dogs, the training at Barkzone is always about what is best for the dog, it’s physical and mental being. As a McTimoney Animal Chiropractor this is crucial for me. The awareness for the minimal risk of injury and strain in repetitive training, along with the fitness levels and what the dog is doing is always a part of training & Iain always bears this in mind, works to the dogs ability, age and helps the education to the owner of this.
I thoroughly enjoy my weekly 121 with Iain. He is a professional trainer who explains things very clearly. I like the way we try different ways of handling sequences which results in getting the best from me and my dogs. My confidence and handling ability have increased enormously. Thank you so much.
Sometime ago I built confidence and learnt developing skills with a trainer who was prepared to differentiate for me and multiple dogs. I now take every opportunity to do one to ones, workshops and courses. They are all fun and challenging with a trainer who is prepared to discuss and work with you and your own regular trainer. Iain works on up to date techniques and has been imaginative to get the best for myself and my dogs. Thank you
I have been training with Iain for a couple of years with my dog Lyra and we both love training with him. He really helped us a lot last year when we were aiming for the Crufts ABC final, and not only did we qualify, but we came second overall. Iain’s help was invaluable in keeping Lyra focused in the build up to Crufts and sharpening me up. Thank you Iain for all your help.
I've trained with Iain at bark zone for the last year both in 121 lessons and groups. I originally went to Iain as my dog had lost confidence on the seesaw. He is friendly and approachable and I find his lessons very structured and consistent. He values his customers and is flexible putting himself out to provide what they need on an individualised basis. Thoroughly recommended! Just wish he wasn't 55 min away!
Scouty and I always enjoy our training sessions at Barkzone. Iain is really patient and always explains things so well. The classes are well-structured and the courses set are challenging but FUN. I generally come away with things we need to work on but am always buzzing from what we have achieved during the session
I’ve been training with Barkzone since the club started and have watched it grow from strength to strength. I would thoroughly recommend training here whether you want to compete at a high level or simply want to have some fun with your dog. The group lessons are pitched at just the right level and adapted to each individual so that they’re challenging but also achievable. The 1-1 lessons are really useful for brushing up on specific areas you want to work on and the camps are just fab! I’ve never enjoyed agility so much and have made some great friends and had lots of laughs along the way. Thanks Iain and Livvy!
